Altro duello interessante, e tutto veronese, quello tra le due Skoda Fabia Super 2000 di Luca Hoebling, che si è voluto regalare il debutto con la macchina ceca e di Riccardo Scandola, al rientro nei rally dopo una lunga pausa, con Pasi alle note. Terzo e quarto rispettivamente alla fine della prima frazione, il distacco di soli 10 secondi promette battaglia per la seconda tappa.

Buono anche il passo di Alex De Angelis, il centauro della Moto Gp con i rally nel sangue, costretto al ritiro per la rottura del cambio della Seta Ibiza con la quale era venuto a divertirsi sugli sterrati toscani.
